A four-year client project: six dragon characters, six children's books, plush toys, stickers, and 3D-printable figures. Initially my client requested me to design three little dragons and eggs for plush design. While designing these characters I used chibi anime style and decided to think of my three-year-old nephew as the primary user. I used Adobe Photoshop for these illustrations.
The first three dragons were the Shadow, Leaf, and Water dragons. After that I was tasked to design three more dragons. They were the Fire, Flower, and Thunder dragons.
I did several projects on these tiny dragons: some as stickers, some as website covers, and others as social media content. Most importantly I worked on six children's books about these six dragons.
Besides the children's books, I was tasked to make 3D models and 3D-printable figures of the tiny dragons. For the 3D modeling I initially sculpted the model in ZBrush, retopologized it in Maya, and rendered it in Blender.
This was a long journey and I really enjoyed working on this. The client has a dedicated site for it, which you can check out here: https://tinydragonstreasuretrove.com/
A friend of mine from Turkey asked me to draw her a poster representing the friendship between Japan and Turkey, for an event she was hosting there. I drew it in an anime style using Photoshop.
There are two characters: one representing Turkish culture, the other representing Japanese culture. Since the event was happening in Turkey, I put the Turkish girl in front and had the Japanese girl waving from behind her, since she's the one visiting as a guest. Scattered around them are small creatures and objects that nod to each country's culture and animals.
The last film, "The Good Stuff," was a school assignment. I wrote the story, then set up the cameras, lighting, and environment, and worked with actors from the acting department to shoot it. I ended up acting in it myself too, with a friend's help. Once I had the footage, I did the editing myself, adding a 3D environment, sound effects, VFX, and color grading. I used DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and Blender for the whole process.
This one's a passion project, inspired by my wife's love for bags. I wanted to build a fictional brand around a cat, because I love cats, so I used Illustrator and Photoshop for it.
The work ranges from logos and posters to several logo iterations, visiting cards, patterns, and UI design for an app.
